HM to one of Sting's last solid efforts (and a forgotten one at that), "Be Still My Beating Heart."

I see to recall losing that argument once, over hearing "Let's Get It On" at 10am.

a number of good songs on that LP. "Englishman in NY" too.

My fave is "The Lazarus Heart", which originally got some airplay, but no one plays it anymore.

WOS Widespread Panic, just 'cause I saw a snippet of them on the CNN New Year's Eve show and was dumbfounded at how slavishly they seemed to be imitating the Dead.  Speaking of, that Spinal Tap-esque jam-band mockumentary, Electric Apricot, is premiering at the Red Vic Friday nite.

BOS Etta James, "Damn your Eyes", which I've only ever heard in 'BCO '88 sets.

Sounds like Ginger's got the same cold half the people in my office (myself included) have.

ETA: Oops, I see Mike noted that already.

Let's get right to it.

This is the first time I've ever heard it - stunning!  BOS.  It reminds me of an artist the Princess turned me on to, Jonah Smith.

PS: Add me to the cold-bearing list.  I'm so glad I'm off today.

aaack! a Cheeze Medley where (for once) I don't wanna hear any of the songs in their entirety.  Ah, but Mr Jones is back!

Ginger always finds a way to do something interesting with 1988.  VHM to "Mr. Jones."

ETA: I would have enjoyed Billy Ocean in its entirety.  "Kokomo," though, no go.
