I just gotta get a BOS vote to the Bee Gees!
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Uber-BOS, BeeGees, Gotta Get a Message to You.

TANC: Last weekend I was listening to the "Listen Without Prejudice" set that Dave did after Maurice Gibb died. (And a tip o' the Santa cap to Alicat for sharing that one!)
Let's get right to it.

1968 = music made by computers
2007 = music made by fembots

Decision: 1968.

My favorite part of "The Horse" is those seven stiffly plucked guitar notes before everyone else kicks in.

Does anyone else remember listening to Don McNeil's Breakfast Club on their local ABC affiliate?

Played this one literally hundreds of times in my high school pep band at football and basketball games. BOS3 (or was that 4?).
Let's get right to it.

Kudos to Dave for substituting this for "Grazin' in the Grass" in his '68 instrumental slot today.

Joe Cocker's singers, to their subprime-mortgage CDOs:
"Does it worry you to be a loan?"

great spin o the wheel.

almost unheard of on a Wednesday.

I have to think the fact that it's Barry Howarth's (Mr. Rosalie) b-day might have played a part, in addition to the Foghead that asked.

And/or an excuse to play the Beatles' 1968 Xmas card.  "Oh, hello to you nice Beatles!  It's so wonderful, what a thrill it is, talking here!  Oh!

Mr Tim was one-of-a-kind.

ah, Mr James's ode to Mutual Of New York...
Weedman on the Bone talked about that yesterday during the lunch set where the theme was money. Mony Mony qualified in the money set.

Loved the "Daisy" computer song - I suppose that was the inspiration for HAL?

Indeed.  Last time Dave played that clip I got curious about it:

I had no idea the Crapton-bashing went backward in time, in a sort of revisionist context!
