26 Nov 2007--it's 1973!!
« on: November 26, 2007, 10:00:34 AM »
And a fabulous start to the week indeed!

Allmans' Jessica (?) to lead off. (I always get these Allman instrumentals mixed up--I just know it's not In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.)
Let's get right to it.

it's "Jessica" for Jessica's birthday, unless I misheard Dave's intro. One of 2 GREAT instrumentals from '73 named after women -- the other being "Sylvia" by Focus, which I wish somebody would resurrect some morning.

That's what I get for not paying more attention to the birthday club. Well, yay for Jessica the woman and Jessica the song, and for those of us listening.
Let's get right to it.

BOS EWG, takin' a "Free Ride".  Why wasn't this as big a hit as "Frankenstein"?

I need to take it easy, but I anticipate a stressful call with my boss later.  He gets really cranky more often than not.  Oh well.

Guilty Displeasure: Stories, covering Hot Chocolate.  Their McCartneyesque "I'm Coming Home" from the previous year (which just missed being a Top 40 hit) is worth seeking out.
