this version of Sniff'n'the Tears "Drivers Seat" sounds like a mix I've never heard before... a 12" version?

if you mean Mr Joel... well, I think he did quite nicely with Nylon Curtain & Innocent Man, but yes, the early part of the decade was when he succumbed to his worst excesses.  He had a major chip on his shoulder -- he wanted to be taken seriously as a rocker ("I'm better than Bruce") rather than the excellent pop songwriter that he was. I remember when "Glass Houses" came out, the critics were quite harsh; Rolling Stone said that if they gave polyester albums rather than gold & platinum, then that's what "Glass Houses" would deserve.

Damn! Phone rang right in the middle of "Some Girls" -- I don't know if it was the censored or uncensored version!

Today at least, the DDT track lists are showing you 1 or 2 songs ahead of the current one.

So I just went to check on the Zep tune (it was "Custard Pie", whoopee!!) and "Going To A Go-Go" was already listed (which is now playing) as well as "Jesus Just Left Chicago/Waiting For A Bus" (which thrills and delights me even more).

Yay!

Not.

Actually it was doing that last week, too. Kinda fun, knowing what was coming up next (and the song after that!).
Let's get right to it.
