Saw an ad in the Chron this am--Mudcrutch (Tom Petty's pre-Heartbreakers band) is playing the Fillmore for two nights in mid-April. (Yes, Tom is on board.) Now that's totally out of left field.
Btw, if anyone comes across the pre-sale password for this, I'd be ever grateful.
Two more Mudcrutch shows (5/1-2) just added to the Troubador, for a total of six, if you're willing to fly to LA to see 'em:

Won't get to read the site till late this week, but very cool that you got to go!  Serious envy on my part.

Hope you and everyone else here are holding up well in this season of rampant change!

ATP stands for All Tomorrow's Parties, a British rock fest held in various 'holiday camps' (think Tommy in the UK. They're doing one in the US this year.

I am sorely tempted by this. Gaz, you should consider the one in the Catskills simply based on proximity.:

MORE ATP NY TICKETS GO ON-SALE
We are pleased to announce that the following bands have been added to the ATP NY bill.
DINOSAUR JR
MERCURY REV
YO LA TENGO
HARMONIA
LILYS
GROWING
We are also pleased to announce that the next batch of ATP New York tickets are now on sale. There are two types of tickets on-sale today: first tickets without accommodation, and second tickets with accommodation at the nearby Raleigh Hotel. The Raleigh Hotel is situated approximately 10 minutes bus ride away from Kutshers and we will be running shuttle buses between the two hotels. The Raleigh also has a nightclub where we will have djs playing into the night and other performances.
Tickets are priced at $225 each + booking fee. Single day tickets are not available.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE RALEIGH OR KUTSHERS IN REGARDS TO ATP. Any questions need to be directed to feedback@atpfestival.com as this is the only address that will be able to answer questions.
The link to buy tickets is here:
http://www.seetickets.com/atp2
The accommodation comes in rooms for 3 or 4 persons.
3 persons - $450 (Plus tax + bf)
4 persons - $600 (Plus tax + bf)
Accommodations are sold by the room in 3 day blocks only, (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), you cannot buy just a single night. You are permitted to have any number up to the maximum occupancy in the room. For example, if you wish to purchase a 4 person occupancy room, you are permitted to have 1 - 4 people sharing the room during the event, and the price is the same for the room, regardless of how many people stay. Each person will still need to purchase a festival pass.
The Three Day Festival curated by both My Bloody Valentine and ATP, will be headlined by My Bloody Valentine in their first US appearance in 16-years and include performances by:
MY BLOODY VALENTINE - 1st show in 16 years in US
BUILT TO SPILL performing PERFECT FROM NOW ON
MEAT PUPPETS performing MEAT PUPPETS II
THURSTON MOORE performing PSYCHIC HEARTS
TORTOISE performing MILLIONS NOW LIVING WILL NEVER DIE

Please note that this option is only available to people who already have ATP NY tickets and no accommodation.

She'll be at HP Pavilion in Oct.  No word on any dates in Spain -- sorry, princess.

She's the same age as my Mom...and George Harrison (if he were still here).

So... how does your mom look in fishnet stockings? ;)

BTW, I meant to ask you if your folks felt the midwestern earthquake a couple weeks ago.

Live 105 BFD, next Saturday, http://www.live105.com/pages/1989575.php

I was lucky caller 20 and got tickets plus "pit passes" which give access via a wristband to the area in front of the stage. Hopefully not a mosh pit but I'm sure it will evolve into that.

Main stage,
Cypress Hill | Pennywise | Flogging Molly | Alkaline Trio
The Kooks | Everlast | Anti-Flag | MGMT | Atreyu
Airborne Toxic Event | Flobots | The Whigs | Middle Class Rut
Sharks bleed teal.

Congrats!  You should totally go into the pit, but with some sort of comical padding like a football uniform or a Michelin-man costume.  Would give everyone something to remember.
