Weird combo. Sounds kind of unpleasant.

one of those combos where I'd be tempted to go for the opener (presumably K&tG) and then leave.

Coachella line-up announced.  Not bad.  Shame I detest heat and port-a-potties.

Damn, concerts are so spendy these days.  Perhaps a future KFOG Connected prize?

The first American version of the "Secret Policeman's ball" Amesty Int'l benefit coming to NYC with Stewart & Colbert (good), Coldplay (less good):

Wow!  Including Jack Traylor, who first appeared on Sunfighter, and had the band Steelwind, which begat Craig Chaquico.

this isn't really related to music, but rather to JS: I went to Weird Fish a while back, and our waiter was wearing one of Papa John Creach's sweaters.  I recognized it from some photo I had seen a long time ago (I've been looking for the picture, but can't find it online). I'm pretty sure "PAPA JOHN CREACH" was knitted into it.  Does thatt ring a bell w anyone?

I believe the waiter said he got it at a thrift store!

Yeah, one of the few times I saw Papa John I think he was wearing something like that. It was around 87 or 88 at the Fillmore, was billed as Hot Tuna and Friends, but pretty much morphed into 2/3 of an Airplane reunion. No Marty Balin or Spencer Dryden, but Grace and Paul were there along with Jorma and Jack, and Papa John took part as well.  Geoff, any chance you were there? This was a year or two before the "official" Airplane reunion tour with Balin, but had Kenny Aronoff taking care of the drum chair in lieu of Dryden or Joey Covington.

The Wikipedia entry for the Airplane makes mention of that Fillmore show; no mention of the sweater however.
Let's get right to it.
