If this is the only time I hear from the Crypt-Kicker Five today, that's fine with me.

"Spooky," covered nicely a couple years later by Dusty Springfield at her most sultry.

Dave is just as likely to play "The Monster Hash" as "Mash"

It still astounds me that it was a hit TWICE.  But I'll bet dave plays it, though I'd prefer "Monster Hash".

VHM the orig "Spooky".

and then ARS covered it and brought it very faithfully (and prehaps unnecessarily) back to the original.

Given the Classics IV/ARS connection, I always thought that was kinda cool (as opposed to, say Santana's fairly worthless cover of "Stormy").

Clap for the Wolfman?  As Mike (or one of his DJ buds) once observed, there's penicillin for that.

I had the ARS album when I was 14 or so, and I'm sure I heard the Classics IV version many times with out realizing that a) it was a different recording or b) that it was the original from the 60's.  Still like it either way.  And kind of agree about "Stormy", although I liked it quite well back in the day.

I wish, and I'm sure it's gonna be an unrequited wish, that someone today would play BOC "I Love The Night", imo far and away the best song ever done about vampires.
