Heard the promo yesterday, 28 years from one set to the next could be a record.

Not counting Don Pardo's old birthday set, obv.

Huge BOS1 to Aimee Mann, "That's Just What You Are."  Genius songwriting that deserved better (her label fucked her over so hard).

Is Seal a given?

I was hoping for better, since my 10:00 meeting was cancelled. But if we get Edwyn Collins again I'll stop kvetching.

There was a time when April Fool's Day meant a big-band set from 1942.

This sounds like Timbuk3, but I've never heard it before.  Kinda cool, so  VHM from me whoever it is.

Assume the Morphine track is #2? Not bad so far. Is this Springsteen again? Ghost of Tom Joad was '95, yes?
Let's get right to it.

Thanks for confirming - I assumed Morphine b/c of the baritone sax, but didn't know.  Broooce is sounding nice, too.

Yep, this'd be my BOS1, but holding onto my vote pending the possibility of Jayhawks, Wilco, Son Volt, or Steve Earle (three of the four had high-water albums in 95, and the Wilco had one or two songs worth hearing).
Let's get right to it.

It's only our 5th set from '95, but no Seal before now.

The 2 tunes we've heard in all four preceeding sets are Heather Nova & U2.

ETA: and in 3 out of 4 we got Dionne Farris & Jeff Buckley.

"Santa Monica" makes up for the Crow.  BOS.

This is the stuff I was listening to in '95, and I thought it was actually a pretty good year overall.

Ditto the BOS -- as often happens in '90s sets, the best songs are ones KFOG was ignoring at the time but which were Live 105 staples. Like this one.

why are we hearing a current commercial in a '95 set?
