This Santana tune--Love Devotion and Surrender?

Yep! Vocals just came in. Is this Carlos on vox?
Let's get right to it.

Yikes, we're not done. Santana's "LD&S" seems almost pretentious in this context, but I'll take it.

BOS to "Love, Devotion & Surrender."  Mike, is this one of those proto-disco trios you always hear on CG?

Sounds like it -- very subdued.  I didn't know he sang anything other than "Everything Is Coming Our Way".  Guess that's the only hit he sang.

Naive question: Has Carlos ever done any of his own lead vox?  I didn't think he had.

LQTM.

"Ecstasy Passion & Pain" is my fave. Given the target audience, I'm surprised nobody tried "Leather Rubber & Spandex".

VHM "Stir It Up" -- didn't this close out our last '73 set too?

Bummer that you missed most of the set--it was a real corker, as Mike Sweeney might say.  Hopefully you'll have a good wi-fi connection in your room in LA and be in it by 10pm tonight.

how many rock songs have melodica in 'em? (outside of Stevie Wonder tunes, anyway...)

We heard the Hooters entry in this category twice last Friday.

Little Willy qualifies as the biggest Blast From the Past for me.  I think I still have this 45, with "Blockbuster" on the flip side.
