The Cars are NOT just what we needed.  But I'm flashing back to the first time I heard this, sitting in my car in a parking lot, and thinking, "this guys's trying to sound like David Byrne"

HM to "Double Vision."  It's like Bad Company with melody.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

LQTM...

Funny, when the first Foreigner LP came out, everyone thought they were trying to sound like Boston.

BOS2 "Feel Like a Number" -- Mr Seger when he actually mattered. "Dammit, ah'm a Man!"

BOS to what I'm guessing is an across-the-board breakout, "Y!M!C!A!"

Holy crap -- Bob's playing "YMCA" in its entirety!  BOS3 for cultural significance and a killer hook.

Dave's played it at least once, but hearing it on the far more AOR-centric Drive is a triumph of sorts.

Back to meat-n-potatoes (and money-n-cocaine) rock with Petty.  VHM.

Still a rarity across the entire 10@10 spectrum, but Boston's "A Man I'll Never Be" shows up semi-regularly in Bob's sets.  VHM.

BOS2 to "Whenever I Call You Friend," a major favorite of the decade for me (seriously!).  One of the earlier songs I remember digging on the radio.
