A non-Sopranos, non-ironic HM vote to "Don't Stop Believin'," which is a flashback for me to Atari 2600s and roller-skating rinks.

for me the flashback is dorm dances sophomore year, but I'm with you.  this is one of the relatively few Steve Perry vocals that holds up for me.

Jeezus Fucking Christ! once again, "Mag 7" is the ONLY track from the great Sandinista that Dave EVER  plays. A pox on his selective memory.

I never thought to ask before: Is "What have we got for entertainment" a nod in Gang of Four's general direction?

A cloche et toi, a ton heure.  Or whatever the hell Jeff Lynne's on about.  He didn't adjust to the '80s smoothly.

I'll still give it a BOS, but you're right, it's a fricking TRIPLE album!  36 tracks, at least half a dozen of which warrant a spin.

VHM, Squeeze, Tempted, katrina though it may be.

Wonder if it grates on Glenn Tilbrook that his biggest hit was sung by a rent-a-keyboardist that didn't even stick around for a followup.
Let's get right to it.

That was one of Dave's least-creative '81 sets in ages. I realize it's "Monday" but sheesh.  Betting Annalisa's bonus beats anything in the set.

per Top 40 db, here's the verse:

Accroches-toi a ton reve
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Both Annalisa and the foghead earn my undying respect--the Kinks' Better Things (written for one of Ray's ex-wives).
Let's get right to it.
