Just realized that Elvis had this fixation with postal themes--US Male, Return to Sender--any others?

I didn't remember that this set was so skewed toward his earlier stuff. But I guess with 12 songs there's plenty of room for Suspicious Minds and Burnin' Love and the like.

(DM played In the Ghetto during the morning show--I don't remember if it shows up in this set or not, but assuming not.)
Let's get right to it.

BOS3 "Suspicious Minds", one of THE great pop singles of the late '60s.

Not. Here's your SM (tune #10), and our bonuses after that are "Kentucky Rain" & "She's Not You".

ETA:  I just looked again, and we got the same whole set on Elvis' 70th B-day in Jan '05, except he stopped after "Kentucky Rain".  So maybe it's a toss-up on the last song.

BOS4 "Kentucky Rain", a song that should've been a bigger hit, but which has grown in stature over the years (Eddie Rabbit's first songwriting credit) and has always been a Chart Geek/Music Geek fave. Listen to that string and backing vox arrangement.

He said it was ten songs & he counted twice, so I guess math isn't his best subject.

1 - Blue Suede Shoes
2 - That's All Right
3 - Don't Be Cruel
4 - Marie's the Name (of His Latest Flame)
5 - U.S. Male
6 - Return to Sender
7 - Viva Las Vegas
8 - G.I. Blues
9 - Can't Help Falling in Love
10 - Suspicious Minds
11 - Kentucky Rain
12 - She's Not You

Was hoping it was the 2002 version of this set I had at home in the archive, but turns out I have the one-song-shorter 2005 version. Oh Well.
Let's get right to it.

I didn't get a chance to listen during the week, and I'm not the biggest Elvis fan (well, I'm big, but...) and it really sounds nice.  Dave did a good job putting this together, from a request list at that.
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
