Engineer got the wrong tape in the machine...

Ah, that's better.

Wow, birthday club in a classic! And Ree-ree leads the set.
Let's get right to it.

that rarity, a mid-'80s set on Fri.  Drop the top, ReeRee.

this song is only in my Db twice, and both times it was #1.  Most recently it was the set played last August on the 4th Local Music Friday.  Predict Cars is up next.

Now it's confirmed by the Cars song.  Last week Dave played the exact same set that we heard on the 3rd week of Local Music Month, and in a display of least-imagination-conceivable, he must have simply told the intern "Play whatever I played last year, just like last week."

Spoiler:  This Petty tune is gonna be the highlight of the set, unless you're a Prefab Sprout fan.

OTOH, I posted a particularly challenging shraytabase question on the other thread...in case anyone is bored.

if that's true it's incredibly fucking sad, given how many sets they have on file.  Speaking of, whatever became of the KFOG HD-radio 10@10 Channel? Did it ever get off the ground?

Nancy Reagan clip on tap...

...with a pretty poignant segue.

I just did, and it's probably not.

Cruel juxtaposition of one of JCM's better songs in Ginger's 89 set (Jackie Brown) with one of his worst (Justice & Independence Day 85) in this one.
Let's get right to it.

That's where my BOS goes.  And with that, I'm off to work.  Have a nice weekend, all.

I just did further checking, and this set was a classic on 12/30/05, a dupe classic eight months later on 8/25/06, and now a twice-duped classic a year after that.

In other words, Prefab Sprout's "Appetite" will appear in my Db 5 times, the last three of which will be from the same set 3 times.

but a nice SRV song is on deck.

but then tune number 10 is worth running away from....
