for the latecomers, that's Stevie Ray covering Stevie W.  (now Stevie W doing "Edge of 17" --- THAT woulda been a bustout for the ages!)

it should be noted that Paul Simon took a lot of flack for putting Linda Ronstadt on his album, as she was notoriously one of those performers who had taken the big bucks and played Sun City.  But as redemption is one of the pervasive themes of his writing throughout the album, I always thought those protesters were kind of missing the point.  And the native S. Africans on the album, incl. Ladysmith, all said they forgave her and appreciated her contribution.

any chance Ginger plays something from the promised Art Of Noise other than Peter Gunn?

ETA: on 2nd thought, that's a foolish question.  Max Headroom RULES!

Wow, I hadn't thought of Head of the Class (aka "Welcome back Hesseman") in ages.

BOS5 Vega/JJ "Left of Center" -- Pretty in Pink was quite the collection.

Remember the beautiful redhead in that show?  Once in San Diego (after getting off shift waiting tables & being one the first of the gang to re-assemble at the bar around the corner), I bumped into her and a few of her friends.  We all wound up drinking together at a long table for most of the night.  She was a lovely person as well as a lovely female.

This Clannad/Bono collab is from '86?  I guess I didn't hear it until much later.  (That IS Bono, isn't it?)

VHM The Three Amigos clip.  Who's have thunk 20 yrs ago that Chevy Chase would have by far the shortest lived career of those three?
