And so it ends...

No spoilers from me, but a superb final episode, major kudos to David Chase for creating one of the greatest series ever.

I've only seen the show twice (when DTV gave free preview of HBO, the season opener was one) because I don't want to pay for HBO. But from what I've seen it seems like a great show.

Note: I refuse to watch the version shown on A & E since it's edited.

Between March and the end of May, I watched the entire Sopranos series (or at least, everything that's available on DVD up to the point of the beginning of Season 6 part II). Was totally drawn in by the 4th or 5th ep of season one (the one where Tony takes Meadow to look at colleges was probably the tipping point). Easily one of the most fully developed cast of characters in TV history, and certainly the most so since M*A*S*H went off the air.

Alas, I do not have HBO, so am seeking someone who was able to record the current season in some transferrable media, or failing that, awaiting the release of the final 9 eps on DVD. And in the meantime, I'm avoiding press coverage of the finale like the plague.
Let's get right to it.

at one point I got a box set in China of the whole series up through the first 5 or 6 eps of season five.  Colleague there bought it for me, probably set him back $15.  Love it.
