But did anyone else hear the discussion this morning about tomorrow's (Fri the 13th) set?

Dave said SF HFH was a possibility and asked for suggestions. Then he proceeded to shoot down every single one. Fogheads had great ideas, IMHO -- disco Greateful Dead *does* suck; "Sister Christian" *is* a godawful song -- but he kept saying "no, that's a GREAT record" to each suggestion. (So much for "Fogheads choose".) It was infuriating.

Then some woman suggested he do "songs about superstition" -- gee, wonder where she got THAT? -- and Dave said he thinks he'll go with it.

[sigh]

So Dave and Ginger could end up doing very similar sets. Sigh indeed.
Let's get right to it.

It occurred to me that this week of SF sets might have something to do with the new 10@10 HD channel -- like, maybe the last bunch of SF sets got erased/deleted and they wanted some in the archives for variety.

Well shoot, I have a 10 oclock meeting today, so I'm absolutely sure Dave will play when they were good Journey.   :(

I'm hopping into the car for a 10:15 appointment, so if he plays JWTWG I sure hope it's in the first 3-4 tunes.

the Charlatans?  (not Charlatans UK, obviously)  BOS-for-rarity should become a separate acronym at this point -- BOSFR.

Charlatans to lead off--fairly obscure. And now here's the long-anticipated Green Day, Longview.
Let's get right to it.

BOS3 Pointers, tho' "What a Fool Believes that He's So Shy" is questionable (I'd've much preferred something from the '70s).

This Charlatans is the reason the Charlatans UK had to add UK here in the US. Dan Hicks was a Charlatan, as was George Hunter, brother of Robert (GD lyricist), and Mike Wilhelm, who went on to play in the Flamin Groovies, I believe.
Let's get right to it.

Steve Miller I think.

And now at last, Journey WTWG. Of a Lifetime?

frankly, JWTWG are a bit of a guilty displeasure for me. Lyrically, this is standard "prog" ramblings about life death & eternity, albeit wedded to some tasty gee-tar.
