19 March 2007--it's...a set o' mystery! (1990)

I'm guessing that, given how good last week was, this week might be kind of underwhelming...but the wheel is still spinning...

And if you were listening to Ginger's set, you know it's 1990.
Let's get right to it.

Well, Ginger gave us the answer: it's 1990 again!  "Way Down Now" to start; how many other dupes will Dave come up with?

Safe to say, probably not the Subdudes or Replacements songs, and the Paul Simon is not likely either.
Let's get right to it.

Sympathy for the World Party.  BOS for Jane's Addiction -- a good Random Numbers tune.

I was thinking the same thing, and we were overdue for '90s.  But we're getting it out of the way on Monday; nowhere to go but up.

Dave's been caught 'trining.

Early candidate for the segue of the week:

The Kuwait/Iraq clip (guessing that was Colin Powell?) into "The King Is Half Undressed."

Jellyfish was a-ma-zing!  I wonder why they didn't stick together.  Will have to read their bio again.

And for me as well. VHM for the Henley tune that just started--one of his better ballads.

Wonder if we'll get Last Plane out sometime in the next four songs?

BOS for the punchline to the whole Newhart Show.  I remember that - really funny.

well, here's Simon, tho' not the rarity Ginger gave us -- indeed, it's one of the 2 usual-suspect "ROTS" songs I referred to in the 'BCO thread.

BOS2 Bob Newhart.

One of the best swan song shows in television's history. Very cool of Suzanne Pleshette (who'd likely smoked a couple million cigarettes in the interim) to come back and help with the joke.
