Hmmm, was thinking Mike would be right, we'd be in 87 or thereabouts today.

Loverboy leads off. Meh.
Let's get right to it.

I hearby propose that henceforth "Meh" be added to our official vocabulary for groups such as Loverboy, or last week's CMB, with no redeeming value.

I loves me some Squeeze, but why oh why do we always have to hear Tempted or Hourglass?  There's SO much more, better.

Wow, that was a great (& tightly edited, I might add) montage of Reagan clips, leading to one of Dave's patented meaningful segues...into "Demolition Man".

So what is a "three line whip", anyway?

Here's the answer:

three-line whip
noun

      1. politics.
In the UK: a written notice, underlined three times to indicate its importance, to politicians belonging to a particular party that they must attend a vote in parliament and vote in the way in which they are instructed.

Etymology: Early 20c as three-lined whip.

sorry, a busy last 20 minutes. Belated BOS to Edmunds-as-Fogerty.

Jeezus, Styx, "Too Much Time on My Hands". There's good cheeze, there's bad cheeze, and then there's this.

Ah, but we're redeemed with H&O, Kiss on My List, sounding quite groovy to me this am. As ever, though, wish DM would delve a little deeper into their catalog. Even if we limit it to chart hits, there's still a lot we don't hear.
Let's get right to it.

Another glib segue, albeit a little chilling: the Atlanta child murders into the Stones' Neighbors (which I'd otherwise be thrilled to hear).

indeed, that LP alone had 4 Top 40 singles, not to mention some great deep cuts.

Wayne Williams kidnapping his "Neighbors"?  Oh, Dave.

WOS for Neighbors.  I hate it when Mick sings like this.  Who does he think he is?  Bob Dylan?

OK, so we've heard the Police and Genesis so far--if the Van Halen reunion was still on, would we be hearing "Unchained" too?

Did anything untoward happen at the HOF induction re: Halen?

Only Hagar and the bassist were actually there.  And Mick Lasalle said "If they've had another hit besides 'Jump', I haven't heard it"

cute (unintentional) post-set segue: "I Need to Wake Up" into "Dream On".
