This made me think back to 1998, when I was taking a 20th Century U.S. History class at CCSF. (No degree requirements or anything like that; I just felt that my knowledge of history was lacking. I still do.) The professor's ambitious syllabus addressed Vietnam via the "Iron Man" comic, which was very rah-rah in its origins but startlingly circumspect about the nature of the fight at war's end. Compelling stuff.
