And America gets so damn depressed.  But before that, Rob rattles off an NBC evening lineup of the year that includes "Medical Center," "Ellery Queen," and, um, "The Montefuscos."

I would have given a BOS to Ellery Queen if he played a bit of that theme song, which I can still whistle to this day.  I loved that show, Jim Hutton as Ellery, David Wayne as his dad.  Should have lasted a lot more than 2 seasons.

Listening to it for the second time today, I really have to ask: How on the gods' green earth did this become a Top 10 hit?  Utterly baffling to me.

But damn if Leo Sayer didn't have the most dissimilar Top 10s of anyone this side of Blondie: this, "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing," "When I Need You," and "More Than I Can Say."
