Feh. Big Head Todd's cover of Zep's "Tangerine".  BHT, you're no Percy.

The preceding Freddy Jones Band tune was equally nice-but-not-memorable, imho.

Makes the Sunset District's most famous surfer sound pretty good by comparison.

I'd never realized she listened to 107.7 the Bone until now.

LOL!

I think I have to give Emmylou the BOS vote for the first half.

BOS2 Emmylou, "Wrecking Ball".

"Put some reverb on it, it'll sound just like Daniel Lanois did it."

I'll give this Simple Minds tune another BOS, I always liked them & don't think I've heard this on the radio before.

VHM Better Than Ezra, def one I heard a lot of on the radio that year.

This has been rather impressive, for a '90s year.  BTW, I have 10:00 meetings today AND tomo'w -- I'm guessing Dave'll have a '70s year one day and a late '80s/early '90s set the other day.

Hands-down BOS to Better Than Ezra for this irresistible piece of guitar pop--I'd forgotten how much I dug this song back circa '95.

And BOS2 to the Jayhawks, Blue for which everything I said about the BTE song above goes double. I played the HELL out of both of these songs in '95. (And Proxy of Gaz for the Jayhawks too.)
Let's get right to it.
