Is everybody on vacation?  Feh - not me.  Anybody figure out the "hidden theme" yet?  The KFOG playlists were broken from Jan 13, but luckily they started working again on Feb 8, and I do have all of this morning's listings so far, so, yay!  (Will post in Stream of Consciousness.)  However, this 10@10 is also supposed to fit into the theme.  Hrmmmm...

I'm working today.  Alas, no Windows Media Player allowed = no 10@10 for me.  Unless someone knows a way to get KFOG to play through iTunes (damn, if iTunes became the celestial radio tuner RadioSpy once wanted to be, Game Fucking Over).  A theme with only "It's a Shame" as a clue makes me guess "songs performed by one star and written by another"?

It's a Motor Town Revue! Led off with Smokey's Going to A Go Go, then the Supremes You Keep Me Hangin' On. Then the Spinners tune.
Let's get right to it.

"What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?"

Loved Joan Osborne's version of this on "Standing In the Shadows of Motown"... but then, I love Joan's version of anything.

Now that I think of it, there may have been a Temptations tune after the Supremes, but I can't remember what it was--not one of their standards.

I'm recognizing most of these interview clips from 4 or 5 elpee vinyl box set that I got around 82 or 83. It had interview clips iinterspersed between about every top 10 Motown hit you can name from the 60s and early 70s. I'll try to find it later today--right now it's kind of buried.
Let's get right to it.

"Signed Sealed Delivered, I'm Yours"

Ah, one of the tracks on our wedding reception "slide show".  Ahhh, cheese.  At least we had good tunes:

Stevie, Shonen Knife's "On Top Of The World", and Radney Foster+Abra Moore's "Baby I'm In".

First dance:  Joan's cover of Bob, "Make You Feel My Love"

Anyone remember hearing this set before? If they had some sort of theme to stick to (which I didn't figure out, btw), I'm wondering if this wasn't something DM put on tape for the occasion.
