The Peak, 02/13/07: Happy Birthday, Peter Gabriel

He's 57 today.  The set is about what you'd expect.

Other birthdays today include Peter Tork and Robbie Williams.

It's also the anniversary of the recording of the Jefferson Starship's "Miracles," a point that'll matter only to me.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
Genesis - I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)
Peter Gabriel - Digging In The Dirt
Peter Gabriel - D.I.Y.
Afro Celt Sound System - When You're Falling
Peter Gabriel - No Self Control
Peter Gabriel - Red Rain
Peter Gabriel - Barry Williams Show, The
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
Peter Gabriel - Biko

Always nice to hear "Biko".  That "Barry Williams Show" is still pretty minor, IMHO -- but I hadn't heard it since it was a KFOG "hit".
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Being a big Gabriel fan (although I'd forgotten today was his birthday, so minus PG Frink points for me) I would have liked to hear that, but really, with the exception of No Self Control, nearly all of those were singles from their respective albums.  Even The Barry Williams Show, which was the only song that even remotely got airplay from Up. (Can't help but think of Greg Brady every time I see the name of that tune.)
Let's get right to it.
