rare early Bonnie Raitt followed by a (sorta) N'awlins twin-spin: Dr John "Right Place" & Paul Simon "Take Me To the Mardi Gras", my first BOS of the set.

I've never heard this one before.  Loverly.  Only half a Wall of Sound, though.

Did Spector produce this LP? I can't remember.  I wasn't the biggest fan of "Give Me Love" that summer; a bit too simplistic for my tastes. So I was disappointed that "Don't Let Me Wait" didn't become a hit. Shoulda.

OMFG2, BOS3: Noo Yawk Dolls, "Personality Crisis"!!!  Rob is THE MAN when it comes to '70s NY-specific nuggets.  I'm in heaven.

Dear lawd, "For Everyman" closes the set -- BOS4. I'm getting chills, this is totally 1973 like I remember it.  The Wonder and Simon LPs are the 2 that got me thru that year, a tumultuous one for me personally.

Elton John  - Funeral For A Friend
Bonnie Raitt - You've Been In Love Too Long
Dr. John - Right Place, Wrong Time
Paul Simon - Take Me to the Mardi Gras
Stevie Wonder - Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing
Doobie Brothers - China Grove
George Harrison - Don't Let Me Wait Too Long
Who - Love Reign O'er Me
New York Dolls - Personality Crisis
Jackson Browne - For Everyman

Well, he IS in New York...

But I'd LOVE it if Dave would add a Dolls tune to the occasional 73-74 set, but I don't thing he ever has, in my memory. Personality Crisis or Pills would do fine.
Let's get right to it.

If I had to pick one favorite Roger Daltrey vocal, it'd be "Love, Reign O'er Me" easily, though my brother has cast a vote for the ending of "Won't Get Fooled Again."
