In case anyone stayed awake through the BoDeans track, here's xxxxxSteve Millerxxxx to finish listeners off on a major downer.  Am I the only one who thought the opening notes sounded like the theme to Entertainment Tonight?

Yet another WOS candidate: Steve Miller

Better than Abracadabra, but only a little.
Let's get right to it.

The Bone is really pushing the Steve Miller show at Konochti.

OK, that really doesn't have much to do with anything but I haven't posted yet today.

I'm kinda relieved I'm not the only one who finds today's set dire.

There were a couple of good moments--the first two songs, for example. But for good or bad, it is representative of 1987. I remember hearing most of this stuff quite a bit on the album rock station up in Sacburg.

And here's DDIO, to round out the set. (Speaking of which, Neil & Tim Finn did both this and Message to My Girl at the show I saw last week--not sure if I posted anything about it.)

Tonight: Polyphonic Spree. Gaz, I will try to keep track of what/how they play. If I can stay awake after the three opening bands. Fucking Noise Pop.

For lack of anything better, BOS to "Heartbreak Beat."  An under-the-radar band called Feathermerchants did a pretty cover of this in '03.

it wouldn't seem quite so bad if we hadn't had '89, '85 AND '87 in one week, even if '85 was better than average. Tomorrow better be good.

Yeah, this song isn't annoying me nearly as much as the others. Gotta love them Psychedelic Furs (this is them, right?).

Thanks!  Who's opening?

P.S.  Please remind me which night you and Mrs. Urth are going to see the Jayhawks.  Now that they've announced their disbandment, it's a bit more urgent that I try to go.   :(
