Jackie Wilson said it was reet petite!

Obscure movie called Queens Logic (late-'80s Big Chill clone) starts with Joe Mantegna driving his car across the 59th St bridge, singing along to this song.  Worth checking out just for that sequence.

Brilliant cutting back-n-forth between Watergate and Dirty Harry, worthy of Dave at his snarkily political best.

I'd forgotten how scathing this lyric was.  BOS from me!  Wonderful.

He should have been PISSED that this didn't make No. 1.  Easily hsi best post-"Suspicious Minds" effort.

Agreed -- "you'd do well to remember the things that he later said" is even more brilliant and relevant now than it was in '72. Amazing.

And agreed on the Elvis too -- and guess what song kept "Burning Love" out of the #1 slot?  Chuck Berry, "My Ding-A-Ling".
