14 Nov 2006--1976? Nope, 77

Tuned in late, missed the intro and the spinning of the wheel, now hearing Stevie's Sir Duke. Guessing at 76, could be 77.

ETA: Duly corrected.

Btw, I came across a couple of live recordings of Stevie Wonder & Wonderlove a few weeks back. Some good performances, particularly on the one from '75, but the earlier one ('73), he seems a little, erm, unfocused--jumping from song to song, some lengthy and rather indulgent vocal vamping interposed by moments of brilliance. (I suspect drugs may be partly at fault for this.) Must have been loads of fun to be in his backing band.
Let's get right to it.

this "tommy mattola" song sounds like a steely dan song.

I think it's a Monty Python song.  Didn't she say "feche la vache"?
