pre-set, Dave plays Alanis MoreUpset, "Ironic", which actually does qualify as a Turkey in my book. Not understanding the meaning of the title of your song is the definition of "stupid", no?

Sure, it's stupid, but is it good?

point well taken.

Dave starts with "I Wanna Be a Cowboy", yo yo yo. Very nearly a HFH for me.

A much stronger second tune from Clarence "Frogman" Henry.

In seconding Mike's Baltimora request I had also asked that Chumbawumba get the year off.  That was before I realized that it is the only song we've heard for 4 years running, so now I really hope we get something else.

Always nice to hear the Vapors, can someone refresh my memory on what a Cyclone Ranger is?

I hope Dave actually plays the submitted suggestions this year instead of doing what he did last year (essentially ignoring everybody and playing "classic" Turkeys).

OMFG!  finally "Tarzan Boy"!  Everybody do the yell!

BOS, obviously.

Have to admit I've never heard this before.  Why is it so beloved?  Sounds like a Howard Jones second.

Doing the yell quite loudly, since I'm working from home.  Making my second turkey in 5 days (this one for my kid's first grade class pot-luck).  But no turkey tomorrow, crab & hotpot instead.

it was a big hit -- an MTV fave -- and it was turned into a Listerine commercial in the mid-'90s.

I don't think anyone knows what it means -- Googling tuns up nothing in the way of explanation.

OOGAH-CHUKKA!!!

I love the way these Swedes totally mangle the lyrics:

"I'll just stay addicted and hope I can endure" becomes "I'll just stay a bicktin (?) if I can for sure" Yeesh.

BOS2 TMBG!  It's Istanbul, not Constantinople!

Blue Swede is BOS for me.  A great version, the jungle sounds notwithstanding.  Or maybe because of them.
