This sucks.  Of all the people who ever seemed essentially indestructible.  One can't help but wonder what development in personal or political events put him over the edge.

My dear friend Victor's kind of torn up over this.  Sadness all around.

but how did the woman at the gym know he was dead?

Good question.

That story comes dangerously close to TMI.
Let's get right to it.

did I just read a different story?  What woman at the gym?

Anyway, in the past couple of hours the following story has hit, which I guarantee you will raise an eyebrow or two:

the woman at the gym with anita.

ok, your story just reeks of sensationalism. and some kind of journalism that isn't gonzo, or yellow...there's no byline - it seems like it's info just pulled from different sources. not that i know jeff kass form the rocky moutnain news to be a reputable character, but why in one article would anita say she heard a click, and then go to the bathroom to be told something was wrong with hunter, then in another article report she heard a loud, muffled noise, and knew he shot himself while on the phone with her?

maybe this is just the sort of confusion they wanted! :)

I'm confused -- what his wife says there contradicts what she said in poc's linked story.
