VHM Peter Boyle.

This clip is reaching Sally status in '70 sets--imo, anyway.
Let's get right to it.

Is that who that is?  What is it?

The important Smart news is that the series is finally coming out on DVD.  A must have.

What I can hear sounds marvy. Cow-orker too close by for me to turn up or be visible on the screen.

from the movie Joe -- great, low-budget slice of '70s life. A VERY young Susan Sarandon as his daughter. JoeBob sez "check it out".

BOS2 Macca.

It's from a film called Joe--Peter Boyle plays a redneck blue-collar type.

ETA: And VHM Yellow River. Can't compare to the Marmalade tune, but nice nevertheless. I'm sure the adolescent jokes about this one were never-ending.

1970 was a wealth of one-hit wonders, yes?

Haven't had a theme set since Labor Day (9/4) or the 60's since 9/1.

I'm with Mike--I think it's 60s today--and yeah, '69 is most likely.

As usual, off by a year--my record is intact!!!

Spill the Wine--not bad start. Wonder if this has been remastered--I was hearing more reverb on the guiro (sp?) at the intro than usual?

it certainly sounds cleaned up to me. i wish ike and tina had covered this song.

ever hear the Isley Bros version?  Not bad...

no! i'm sure it's wonderful. their covers are always so original. if the isley brothers ever cover your song, just don't sing it anymore. i'm exaggerating, but only a little bit.

I'd bet this wins BOS.  As long as Dave doesn't play any Todd.

Indeed, one of Frank's most gorgeous melodies!
