Another great cover song, George Benson's walkin' down that street...

... and hittin' on the princess of cairo!  (y'all have heard her George B story, I assume)

I remember this song just being all over the radio in '78 ... it brings me right back there...
Now I'm eight bits...

another deeply evocative song for me, "There's No Way Out Of Here".  This was about what my mood was for most of my last two years of HS.

didn't need no education?
didn't need no thought control?

I was in college when that came out.

My kids delight in singing along with that one, now.

This is turning into a real great set, BOS #n+1 Starship, "Love Too Good".

OMG, hope Gaz is tuned in someplace, or can be in 12 hours--here's the rarely played (at least on 10@10) Love Too Good--probably Grace's biggest contribution to the Earth album.
Let's get right to it.

she's gotta tell it herself, I couldn't possibly do it justice.

George thought she was a "Sweet Talkin' Woman".  Well, guess ELO were inevitable in '78.

But if this as close as we get to Katrinaville, I'm thrilled!

She's a great story teller.  I enjoyed her close encounter with Madeline Peyroux story.

BOS whatever to Mr Rafferty.  This has been a superb set, even better than Dave's '74 excursion the other day, and that's saying something.

Agreed, although I'd love to hear some Cheap Trick--they were huge in my 1978 world, but so far they haven't made it into a 10@10 for this year so far as I recall.

ETA: As I suspected--just consulted Mark's magic DB and found we've heard exactly two song (I Want You to Want Me and The Flame) four times each--in 1978 and 1988 sets respectively (although one of the 88 incidences was representing that year in a VT).
Let's get right to it.
