ETA "Freeze-Frame" makes it obvious: 1982.

Think it could be 81, actually. The Geils tune was released in fall of 81 (but was a hit in 82, and the Jam tune came out in 80, so thinking it's gotta be 81.
Let's get right to it.

Well, we just heard it ain't 82 or 83.  I had thought it was 80 during Freeze-Frame.  But 81 is certainly possible.

indeed, Dave just shot down '82.  So much for Hot 100 chart action.  '81 it must be.

BOS Greg Kihn.  it's Kihn-tageous!

Dave's fave Sandinista Katrina, "Mag 7".  ANY other track from this LP woulda been BOS; "Hitsville UK" woulda been Best of Month.

Certainly a Katrina within the context of this album -- it's a near-brilliant 3-record set and this is virtually the only song from it that Dave ever plays.

it's a Petty Grand Slam -- he's been in all 4 sets this morning and "The Waiting" has been in both '81's.

VHM for Duran Duran Duran Duran Duran, and the second appearance of camera clicking sounds in the set.  Bookends?

And it's a motor-drive twin-spin--both the Geils and the Duran Duran tunes feature the sound effect of a camera's motor drive in their intros.

Come up with a third and we've got a M3S.
Let's get right to it.
