Juice N, layin' out another line, thinkin' 'bout a life of crime.

A minor highlight of a rather dull VT.

She actually performed this at some Nancy Reagan "Just Say No" gathering, which I thought was pretty hilarious.

Is Queen of Hearts 81 or 82? If it's the former, I really hope we don't hear Rosanna for 82.

Whew!!! Although this Steve Miller tune isn't a lot better.
Let's get right to it.

That's how I'm feeling too.  Every once in a while these VT's just leave me cold.  Stevie Miller isn't doing it for me with "Abracadabra" either.

This is the lowest of the low, but it did sound like he said "black panties with an angel's face".  I'm getting an interesting visual on that.

Hi Dave,  I don't have a comment on the music, though I agree Steve Miller has done a lot better.  But I just noticed that your last posting was 555 -- how palindromic and symmetrical of you.   :)
Now I'm eight bits...

indeed, I always wondered whether it was an angel-faced girl waering black panites, or if the panties had an angel's face on the crotch.

Yikes, the Goat takes us home. Baaa-aaa-aaa!

Well, there are 10 other VT's in my Db (beginning year listed only, for brevity): 1965, 1970 (x2), 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1980 (x2), and 1982, and in my judgment, today's set was less interesting than any of them.  For example the other set that began with '73 kicked off with Marvin's "Let's Get It On", which woulda been BOS today with ease.

Just by way of comparison, one of the sets that went 1970-79 came on an Aug 20, and the years that overlapped with today (73-79) had the following entries:

Stories - Brother Louie
Rufus - Tell Me Something Good
K.C. & the Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight
Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancin'
Commodores - Easy
Foreigner - Hot Blooded
Knack - My Sharona

I know the quiz answer w/o the mulitple choices, Sharona today is a realtor, and from what I heard, a very wealthy one, down in Orange County.  I phoned in and got a ring, but Annalisa never picked up, so an earlier caller must have had the answer.

Is that really the line?  I never caught it as a coke ref!

PS: I would love to have those Midnight Special neon letters as a font.
