...something from the sixties I pray.

But tuned in early enough to enjoy BOC "(Don't Fear) The Reaper", which I always felt & still feel is a virtually perfect album rock tune, cowbell hoopla notwithstanding.

She had become like they are...

Hopes rising, Dave just said "Stay tuned for some MAJOR time warp, and we're doin' it for Cathy's birthday."

Hopefully Cathy just turned 40!

ETA:  Yippee, she was!!!!  an On-This-Date set, no less!

The rarest year, even more so than '65.

And how could Dave resist kicking off with Hot Time Summer in the City?

This has been Dave's best week in ages.  I don't usually set the alarm for 7 on Saturday, but...

"Hey Little Girl",  a great OHW and a major influence (it has always seemed to me) on the Romantics' "What I Like About You"

Syndicate of Sound, in fact. BOS2, most certainly. Hope Geoff is within range of this one.

And BOS3 for Lee Dorsey (and Allen Toussaint behind the scenes), Workin' in a Coal Mine!
Let's get right to it.

Agreed, and not too mention the entire Stray Cats catalogue.

Holy SH*T!, the original version of Working in a Coal Mine, which I've never heard before.

BOS1 and 2 to the first two tracks

I always resented Bobby Hebb's Sunny, since locally it kept Summer in the City out of the #1 slot.  Hopefully we won't hear it.  The first time I met John Sebasian, I gave him a t-shirt because of that.

"You Better Run", the Rascals and a single that I don't think even made the Top 40 (incredibly).  Brilliant stuff.
