DAMN! instant BOS  "Wonderwall".  Another great song that wasn't on KFOG's radar at the time (and still isn't, afaik).

"Wonderwall" was the big hit, but I liked most every song on this album better, especially "Champagne Supernova".

har har.  They're Brits who do lounge-style covers of rock songs. Their version was a HUGE hit  -- #2 in the UK, which is also as high as the Oasis version got.

It all sounds good but I can't identify a single song/artist.

We heard that Natalie Merchant song, iirc, in April for the Earthquake centennial.

ETA:  didn't mean to hit submit yet, that 3rd song, "I Walked" by Wanderlust, was really cool, but I'd never heard of them either.

I recognized Natalie Merchant , but that song by Wanderlust (who?) was new to me. And here's yer girl Joan Osborne. Let's play "6 Degrees of Grateful Dead"!

this entire album was recorded in a house in the country. she sang most of the vocals on the front porch, and the bass player was in the basement, if i remember correctly.

From SNL news one night this year, "Topping the music charts this week, Better Than Ezra.  In at #2, Ezra."
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."
