We can only hope. But you can leave this one up for awhile if you want.
Let's get right to it.

a damn good Roxy Music-meets-the Cars ripoff.

let's hope that NEVER happens! this is bad enough.

couldn't agree more... Todd + Cars = $*&%

I do like Todd solo though... .. I saw him at the Sausalito Art Fest a few years ago...
He had just moved from Marin to Hawaii....
he said "When I felt the desire to buy a Lexus, I knew I had to leave Marin." .. too funny...
...Please don't dominate the rap, jack, if you've got nothing new to say......

Oh, yeah, like he was living in a tarpaper shack in West Marin

I love Todd too, but if you can afford to upgrade from Marin to Hawaii, you shouldn't be making fun of rich people. You ARE one.

Well, I can't help but remember the big Playboy spread on his girlfriend at the time Bebe Buell, and there was a picture of Todd riding a tractor!

BOS #3, the Members!

Defintitely one of Dave's better efforts for this chart year.

Checked my list last night as I was archiving this one--in nearly 5 years of recording selected 10@10s, this is the first 1982 set I've ever done. Take that for what you will.

So I'm tuned into the replay now, just in time for Simple Minds' "Promised You a Miracle."  Seems like every one of their songs takes me eons to develop a fondness for.  This one still seems stiffly funky but I'm enjoying it.

Anyway, the talk upthread about recording sets leads me to wonder: How difficult would it be to use something like the Google shared-spreadsheet app to post what we've archived?  Would be dandy to have a means of expediting exchanges, for those with burners, tape records, etc.  Just a thought, as if I don't already have more music than I can possibly listen to.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
