KPOO's Judge promising an all-'80s day today.  Bring the Funk!

Starting with a remix of Keith Sweat's "I Want Her".

I certainly hope he had the good sense to finish with "Can You Feel It."

PS: Has Keith Sweat ever made an appearance on any of the 10@10s?  I doubt it; they all seem New Jack–averse . . . but I adored "Make You Sweat."

Here's Jermaine's "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming", later covered nicely by Robert Palmer.

ooh! Shalamar's "Dead Giveaway".  Too bad Dave can't hear this show -- testament to how much soul the '80s had.

Tho' this song could easily have been covered by Devo.

OMG! "Do You Wanna Funk?"  Oh my yes.  And followed by Shannon's FAB "Let The Music Play"!

And now my day is made: Jermaine Stewart, "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off".

...of course if you keep your clothes on you can't go "Dancing in the Sheets" with Shalamar.

So who's the guy doing the announcing? Judge popped in briefly a break or two back, but there's some other guy acting as dj.
Let's get right to it.

Some buddy of his, sounds like.  Dunno the reason. Judge is spinnning, the other guy's announcing (amateurishly).

Wow, don't think I've ever heard Prince's "Hot Thang" on the radio.

Yep, the mix of tunes def. sounded like Judge, and they were still using the "total experience in sound" tags. Judge chimed in again at the end, and his voice sounded a little croaky, so maybe he got the grip or something.

VIP-ing today, and we begin with Hall & Oates' "Say It Isn't So", one I haven't heard in ages.  Gotta love a Top 10 single with the line "that bites it even more".

Funny, I was in the Cost Plus down at Westlake over the weekend and that song turned up on their Muzak--the first time I'd heard it in years as well. They actually had a pretty good mix of stuff--r&b, latin, 60s & 70s nuggets, etc.
Let's get right to it.
