BOS to "Can't Get There From Here," from the days when R.E.M. were still engaging with their world instead of sending notes from a bubble.

in my deleted thread I asked "Who'd'a thunk the Hooters stuff would hold up so well?"  This is sounding quite good today.

Any ancient history majors who can explain who/what/where "Philomath" was?

BOS REM "Can't Get There From Here"

..and the rest of Dr. Emmett Brown's line:  "Ronald Ragan!?  The actor!?  So who's Vice President?  Jerry Lewis?"

Which always make me think that Jerry would have been a far better President than Reagan.

Pedant On Patrol: The elder members of the group would prefer "ancient-history majors," I should suppose.

I liked New Coke just fine, fwiw.  Then again, I also quite enjoyed Crystal Pepsi, Josta, New York Seltzer, and OK Cola, among a host of other failed beverages.
