Steve Perry mimicry on this Santana cut.  Would like to hear their "Say It Again" in some 1985 set someday.

I saw a license plate yesterday -- not a bumper sticker, mind you, but a vanity plate -- that said:  W LIES

I also saw a bumper sticker that said "Save a Tree -- Remove a Bush"

I'm sure Gaz will join me in honoring Rod the Mod with a VHM.  His '80s output of enjoyable, radio-friendly singles was actually a good period for him (especially considering what followed).

Does he say "C'mon Mick" before the break? If so, Mick who?

I'm on the other side of the fence completely.  I turned up Sushi Girl (offensive as it may be, but turned down Young Turks.  I like the Tubes, and my RA/Hero/Tenor Sax Buddy played The Completion Backwards Principle a lot in 1981.  So there.

Left-field BOS to "Waiting for a Girl Like You," the track that opened Foreigner to an entirely new audience.

Your Private-Eyed Kiss is on my List!  Shameless soundalike follow-up but a delight anyway. BOS

Around this time a friend who lived on the Upper West Side was in some boutique on Columbus Ave and Daryl Hall came in.

"He didn't just walk in -- he PRANCED!" she said.
