BOS #1, R.E.M. "Cuyahoga", this is my 2nd favorite album of theirs, after only their debut.

This is where we walked.  This is where we swam...

Ditto the BOS. Not one Dave's played often, it seems to me.

BOS2 JCM, "Under the Boardwalk", one of his excellent B-sides from that period.

I'm afraid this doesn't do much for me.  Certainly no more than Bruce Willis's karaoke adventures of the same period.

I wonder what 'Til Tuesday song he's gonna play. Dave plays "Coming Up Close" in '87 and "Voices Carry" is definitely '85.

BOS to "Coming Up Close."  Dave played this in a Christmas-themed set, iirc, and its homecoming sentiments were a chokeup.

well, it's "CUC" and I have no idea if it was a late '86 release or not, this song is a Narada for me -- I'd never heard it until Dave started Katrinizing it.  This LP was ignored on NYC radio.

Late '86 album release, single peaked in '87, so everyone's cool.  By the way, this is another to add to our list of Alisons, as the LP is titled Welcome Home.

VHM to "Boy in the Bubble," easily my favorite song from Graceland.  My friend Dave*, a wonderful historian, loves to quote this refrain for its optimism that what we're making is actually progress.
