TANC: I was just listening to "We Gotta Get You a Woman" last night.

OMGWTF!!!  BOS to Melanie with the Edwin Hawkins Singers, all catching the same disease (ewww!) on "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)."  Apparently this was edited down from a 7- or 8-minute recording, which I'd love to hear in its entirety.

That commercial was kind of a sledgehammer for me.  I remember the fact of watching Let It Be in '77 or '78 on HBO; I don't remember specifics from the movie but I know it made me cry a couple times.  (I got the concept of nasty breakups awfully early, I suppose.)

And now a revisit to Derek & the Dominoes, "Bell Bottom Blues" getting a VHM vote from me.

BOS2 Doors, down to da roadhouse, y'all. Morrison Hotel, that rare Doors LP without a Top 40 single, iirc.

VHM DC-T w/ BS&T, "Hi-De-Ho".  Not to be confused with "Heidi da 'Ho".

I've never heard this (BST?) version of Carole King's "Hi-De-Ho (That Old Sweet Roll)" before; all I've ever known is Dusty Springfield's sultry rendition.

from the much-maligned BS&T3, the one with "Lucretia McEvil" and their cover of "Sympathy for the Devil".

BOS3 "No Sugar Tonight".

HM to "No Sugar Tonight."  This and "No Time Left for You" were in heavy rotation on Pittsburgh's oldies station while I was growing up, but I've barely hear either in the years since.  I wonder why 3WS had so much love for them.

BOS2 to "Make Me Smile."  One of the world's all-time great horn charts does just that for me.
