"On Hold" music from hell
« on: May 10, 2006, 03:32:41 PM »
Couldn't find an existing thread to put this in. I just called a doctor's office and was put on hold. Their hold music was an endless loop of Enya's "Orinoco Flow". Over. And over. And over.

I was on hold for 10 minutes.

If you end up having an appointment with this doctor, I would make a point of (gently) mentioning this. He or she probably has no idea--it's probably the choice of some misguided office manager.
Let's get right to it.

Wasn't a personal call (thank god) -- I call lotsa Dr's offices for my job.  Many have lite classical hold music; some have local radio stations (there's nothing like hearing "Bakersfield's Best Lite Rock"!). This was my first encounter with Endless Enya.
