"I'm the Slime". And so is Bill O'Reilly.

Let's get this straight:

Bill O'Reilly = Horse's Ass.  Anyone who takes him seriously deserves what they get, BUT he tells you straight up where he's coming from & anyway he's an employee of Fox News. So you come forewarned.  (cf Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity & Dennis Miller version 2.0)

Tom DeLay = Slime.  He is as sleazy & devious & self-interested as it gets, but all in the name of some larger entity that he claims to represent.  You should know better, but some true believers suckers are taken in. (cf. Dennis Hastert, the CEO of GM, Condi Rice)

Pat Robertson = Anti-christ.  Puts on the best public face, claims the moral highground, says if you don't believe him you are to be condemned/hanged for treason.  In fact is the devil's minion & is wreaking wide swaths of destruction in the name of a higher power.  (cf. Dr. James Dobson, Rev. Jerry Falwell, George W. Bush)
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."

I dunno what to BOS.

Safe to say, it's probably not Dan Fogelberg. It's yacht rock!

that would be Ur-YachtRock. This was a HUGE fave on our FM prog rocker, WNEW-FM, which had several wimpy deejays who worshipped country-rock of the Poco type.

Yay! "Beach Baby" -- we NEED some sun already!

on the orig LP, presumably. The radio version was the edit you most often hear.  But I think I have the long version at home.

Wow! Why would "Beach Baby" make Dave cry?

He feels bad that First Class don't know where to surf in CA?

Dave's transfixed by the Chinatown score.  That's a great radio moment there.

Trivia regarding the TOTHC:  George McRae was one of 7 artists to top the charts from 1964-89 with a song beginning with the word 'Rock', and 3 out of 7 were in 1974 (also Andy Kim "Rock Me Gently" & Hues Corp. "Rock The Boat").   1974 would've claimed 4 out of 7 if the original of "Rock On" had made it to #1 instead of Michael Damian's 1989 cover, but David Essex could only manage #5.

Can you name the remaining 3?

You can get it from me, the five-minute version is on the "AM Top Twenty" cornball comp I have.

Faboo set, will catch the reply if I'm still up, but I will note that "Ride the Tiger" appeared exactly once before to my knowledge: I am rather certain it was a Top O' The Hour Cooker once while I was still a Schwabbie.  And yes, it's downright pathetic that I should say that with any certainty at all.
