I predict 1986, just an educated guess, our last visit was Jan 6.

A logical deduction, Dr Watson.  If so, let it have a couple of breakouts to make it bearable.

I'm too smart for Dave, I guess.

even worse: 1990. "Katrinous Again", one of Dave's standbys in this year.

That was a clever bit with Roseanne's Nat'l Anthem, Don Pardo & the buzzer.

"Way Down Now" is another fallback, but welcome nonetheless.

Yep. We're treading well into Katrina territory, although I'm inclined to grant a pass for this just because the rest of the album is so good.

Wonder what Karl Wallinger is up to these days? The last World Party record wasn't even released in the U.S.
Let's get right to it.

Bet we get Concrete Blonde too.

I'd LOVE:

Janet Jackson, "Black Cat"
Lisa Stansfield, "All Around The World" (I can't believe Dave doesn't adore that record).
Maxi Priest, "Close to You"
Mellow Man Ace, "Mentirosa" (SOOOO much better than "Rico Suave")
Prince, "Thieves in the Temple"

I'd be shocked if we heard any one of those. Jellyfish ain't too bad though. I'm betting we hear Toy Matinee. Just got a feeling.

Agreed on the LT, & the rest.  You got 2 #1's, a #3 a #6 & a top 20.  Never happen.

BOS #1, and probably only, "Shakin' The Tree", by Youssou N'Dour & Peter Gabriel, although this sounds like the PG Greatest Hits version.

I got the original (& superior) version on Youssou's album The Lion, which is a great listen all the way through, especially the title track, which is the song for the Senegalese national football team.

ETA:  Hey Gaz the Allmusic entries for Mr. N'Dour are really weak & in one case glaringly innaccurate.  You should petition to redo it.
