Started with Brother Louie, then Dylan's Knock, now Stevie's Too High.  Nice but not inspiring or inspired.

It's so hard to be a BOS in the city.  Fortunately, the mighty Raspberries follow Broooce with the majestic "Tonight."

just caught the tail end of Mr Carmen's 'berries.  And now it's ZZ Top. This was '73?

I, for one, don't think Innervisions was necessarily a better album than Talking Book.  I go back and forth on that.

a good argument there.  Innervisions was the album that finally made the mainstream realize he was a genius, I think.  So it gets the edge from most people because more people have heard it all the way thru -- they mainly know TB for the hits.

Mark, maybe you can solve a mystery for me.  There's this song in church called El Shaddai, by one of those big time Christian songwriters, and it just sounds exactly like a Stevie Wonder song, but I can't place it.  I'm not knowledgeable enough about Stevie.  Ideas?

yeah, the MIDI makes it sound even suckier!  I have the sensation that these are Stevie Wonder type of melodies and chords.  Since I am just a bass player, and a harmonic idiot, I can't explain it any better than that!
