I gotta say, I agree. Wild Cherry was the closest thing to a katrina, and I think it's been redeemed for the time being.

Anyone spotted the vinyl? I'm thinking it ain't happened yet.
Let's get right to it.

VHM Steve Miller, "The Window", one of the few non-Katrinas from that LP.

he recycles the melody line from "wintertime" (the "hear me calling, hear me calling, hear me ca-a-aa-ling" part) at the beginning of "the window." but, i'm not sure which song came first.

"Window" came first; "Wintertine" is on Book of Dreams.

Whoa!?!?! Who's this doing the cover of FM/Bob Welch's "Silverheels"? I gotta say I like the original better, but this is likely the vinyl, and def. a bustout.
Let's get right to it.

I'd call Ms Nightengale a Katrina or pretty close to one, but I'm not complaining... exactly.

It's actually very hard to say, because as I believe I mentioned once long ago*, all the tracks for both albums were recorded at the same time & some thought was givien to releasing it as a double album.

*at that time I posited that this might have been the, or at least one of the, greatest studio double albums of all time, rivaling Elton, the Beatles & Stevie in terms of sales & chart success.

Well, here's my BOS--I believe this is Jethro Tull? Locomotive Breath?

ETA: Well, the bit before the swine flu clip was Locomotive Breath, but now we're hearing Too Old to Rock & Roll. Great song, but the rest of the album is kind of ehhh.

(Locomotive breath wasn't 76 anyway, so I was wondering about that.)

It sure was, but that's hardly the right track for a '76 set!  Ahhhh, Dave with the quick save!

what an amazingly prescient screenplay that was.

So, swine flu vaccine gives you locomotive breath? Oh wait, it's a different Tull.

That was weird, because that WAS the intro to Locomotive Breath (or at least, I think it was), which would have been the wrong year.  Dave's f*ckin' with us.

BOS, Too Old to Rock  and Roll, Too Young to Die.
