Ginger told me it will go all of next week too, which suggests that theirs will have significantly more content than KFOG's did last year.

Sounds like it, although it could depend on what hours they are sticking to the A-Z format. I think KFOG's started at like 6 am and went til 10 pm, then went back to "world class rock" for the overnight and also took time out for 10@10. Sounds like the Boulder version isn't quite the institution that ours is--can you imagine the outcry if KFOG suspended 10@10 for two weeks? Besides us, I mean.

Another BCO aside: there's a banner across the top of their "listen here" page that says "don't trust anyone from Oakland" or words to that effect. I know this is probably just another doubleclick-type ad served up by a third-party somewhere, but: huh?
Let's get right to it.

Don't know about any of the rest of you, but I have been enjoying this A-Z all week when I am at my desk outside of other 10@10 times.

After most of 4 days they are only into the "God" songs and before going to commercial the evening deejay just said Crash Test Dummies is on the way.  I am an hour late to leave work as it is, but I might just have to stick around to hear "God Shuffled His Feet".

Ah, hear it is, that didn't take long after all.

Is it just me or has the 'BCO stream turned to sonic crap in the past month or so? I thought it used to sound OK, but lately it's been distorted, tinny, overmodulated, and just plain lousy. Reminds me of what internet radio sounded like in 2001.[/b]

Checking out the A-Z again this morning in time forthe beginning of the N's.  Very nice to hear Van's "Natalia" off of Wavelength.  Anyone ever heard that on the radio before?

after 2 hours (probably more actually) of 'One' songs we are now into the 'Only' section.  And I learned somethin that I never knew, namely  that Darryl Hall was singing backing vox on Elvis' "Only Flame In Town".

sampling the "R" part of the list -- didn't really need BOTH versions of "Riding With The King".

ah, here comes Jeeezus!  Jones, that is. "Right Here..." should be followed by "Right Place, Wrong Time", no?

ETA: NO -- it's "Right Next Door", Robert Cray. I thought this was called "Strong Persuader" for many years.   And THEN we get "RPWT", but it's the Bonnie & BB version.  Name that soundtrack!

"River of Love", T-Bone Burnett -- damn, he sounds a lot like Rodney Crowell.
