Almost Cut My Hair on DDT
« on: January 21, 2005, 08:48:02 AM »
down here at the NAMM show, there are lots of people my age who still walk around with the big hair, or the long hair from their rock band days, only now they're probably working in some low class guitar shop in Pacoima!

remember when John Grappone was on KFOG in the afternoon and he'd do the "Grey-Haired Ponytail Moment"?

I should let my hair grow again, do the pony tail thing.  Long hair is such a pain though.

I can't imagine that. Trying to picture it, just can't.

You guys never saw me with the long hair?  It was long enough for a pony tail, though I never went there.

the thing about this trade show is that these are my friends, but I only see them once a year.  It's like a time warp, and feels like it was only a week ago, but it's not.  One year I shaved off my beard, just for shock value.  You don't want to see it.

Not just Santa Cruz. Head north from SF and they get more plentiful the further you go (a few in Marin, more in Sonoma Co., lots in Mendo).

I had one (not grey tho--still waiting to go grey) about ten years back, but as Rod said, it got to be a pain. My hair is fine and straight, and it would just hang there if I didn't have it pulled back. Finally cut it off in 96, and met my wife (who likes long hair) a month later. Oh well. Timing is everything.
Let's get right to it.

Hmmmm. I see writing your own html code doesn't do a damn thing in this app. OK, I'll do it the easy way and use the formatting buttons above instead.

I had one for all of '93 & most of '94.  Kinda fun but not my best look.
