No expectations.  But "Switchin' to Glide" would be appropriate.

WOS Blues Bros, "Gimme Some Lovin'", one of the most unnecessary covers in RnR history.

VHM Pretenders.

I still love the part of the video where the rest of the band are ordering off the menu & are pointing to the Special each time the song echoes the word.

When I think 1980, the last thing I think of is this live version of "Lola".

BOS Kinks!   Live "Lola"!!

That's one Bob has over Ginger & Dave, he will play live cuts from the year the live album came out.  Pretty much the only time Dave or Ginger do this is with Frampton Comes Alive.

That's 'cause so few live albums are worth remembering 20 years down the road    I love the Kinks, but I find nothing compelling about that live "Lola"  "'c'mon, it's the disco version!" -- sure, Ray, whatever.

BOS Mick, flirting with necrophilia.  Or at least that was one theory at the time.

Guilty Displeasure of Set: John Lennon "Just Like Starting Over".

I find this to be pure pasteurized cheese.

As I've said before, when that single came out I found it rather silly -- musically, it was an hommage to '50s rock at a time when that genre was just getting tired.  But of course when John was killed it became heresy to say anything bad about it. But it's probably the weakest track on that LP. (Well, the weakest of John's tracks  .)

Yoko's tracks shouldn't be summarily dismissed: "Every Man Has a Woman Who Loves Him" isn't so far afield from what Bowie and Talking Heads were up to at this time (indeed, I think it's Earl Slick on guitar), "Hard Times Are Over" ain't half bad, and "Give Me Something" would be a punk anthem if someone from the punk scene had done it.  (I won't defend "Kiss Kiss Kiss" or "Yes, I'm Your Angel," though.)
