19 April 2017: it's... 1999
« on: April 19, 2017, 09:48:36 AM »
the '99 set I suffered thru on The Peak yesterday was quite horrifying, and this one is nearly as awful. What, no "4/20" pothead set?

This is indeed a snoozer. And the first song, though completely new to me, was baaaaaad.

Is The Sixth Sense any good? I've never seen it.

BOS for Blondie. This isn't really from 1999, is it?

ETA: Apparently it is. Their first single since 1982, allegedly.

I broke my custom of not looking at the setlist ahead of time, and I'm glad I did. Nothing here that's calling to me.
Let's get right to it.

Sixth Sense is very good, or at least it was in 1999 before everyone knew the "twist".  If you don't know, you'll enjoy it.

I loved that Blondie tune in '99 and it always annoyed me that KFOG refused to play it, even tho' they were playing "One Way or Another" and "Heart of Glass" multiple times a week as oldies. Alice played it to death, however.

happened to become the #2 biggest hit of the century; we’ll hear the hit song from an album
that had 90 words in the title, and the song that became the longest-running #1 on MTV’s TRL.

It’s … 1999
